A VOICE FOR THE OCCASION
Glynda Bluhm - Vocalist & Guest Artist
Glynda sings both indoors and outdoors at weddings, private parties and functions, shopping centres and clubs. Glynda also sings for Senior citizens clubs, retirement villages and nursing homes. Glynda is trained to sing both with a microphone for pop music, and without a microphone for classical styles and stage shows. Glynda has performed with the Canberra Philharmonic and Queanbeyan Players in stage productions, the Duntroon RMC Band at the Canberra Theatre, the Canberra Men's Choir as a soloist and the School of Music Choir. Glynda has sung at various NSW Town Halls and Entertainment Centres as a soloist and at the Sydney Opera House as part of a chorus, as well as a soloist in Britain. Glynda was interviewed on Radio 2XX and performed live on ABC Radio 2CN.
Glynda studied Classical Voice Training for 20 years with Patrica Davey. In 1991 Glynda decided to put her classical ability to the test and entered a dozen Eisteddfods throughout NSW. This resulted in her winning over 60 trophies and cash prizes including championships. Her 1992 and 1993 Eisteddfod seasons were even more successful.
